Welcome to Jonathan's Landing

Message from the GM
Joe DiPasquantonio
Well, the summer has flown by and the staff is excited for your return to Jonathan’s Landing for the 2020-21 season. Given the circumstances, we have had a relatively busy summer and the team is hard at work preparing for the coming season. I know I’ve mentioned it in previous communications, but this season will be unlike any we have experienced. While it may seem like we are being overly cautious by cancelling some of the larger events, the safety and health of our Members and staff must remain our highest priority. We are asking the Membership to please be patient as many of these decisions are subject to change.

Each Department has been challenged to think outside the box in regards to their respective activities and events. As you will read in their articles, Department Directors are being creative in coming up with some fantastic new ideas that will keep our Members active and entertained while maintaining the safety protocols that have been put in place during Phase 3.

We will once again celebrate Veteran’s Day on Wednesday, November 11th by offering a complimentary entrée to each veteran.  The event will be held in The Landing with reservations from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.  When making your reservation, please tell us the branch of the military and the years you served, so that we may honor you on a recognition poster.  We also ask for any photos you may have from your days in the military to share on a picture board.  Please bring them to the main office in advance of the event.  The staff will be happy to scan a copy and return your originals.  To all of our JL veterans, we thank you for your service!

In closing, I know that many Members will be traveling back home to South Florida in the coming weeks. We ask for each of you to be responsible and think of others when using Club facilities. If you have traveled by airplane or have been feeling ill, please get a COVID-19 test or consider a 14-day self quarantine, to combat any possibilities of a spread throughout our Membership. We have all done a fantastic job keeping each other safe and healthy and we would like to keep it that way.

As always, I am interested in your ideas, comments and suggestions. I look forward to seeing you around the Club soon.
