2019!  Already!  By the time you receive this the holidays will be over and we are putting the final touches to our plans for New Year’s Eve.  We have a lot to look forward to in the New Year.  The Fazio Course Grand Opening weekend is scheduled for Thursday, January 3rd through Sunday, January 6th.  Sign-up procedures for tee times have come from the Golf Shop; give them a call if you have any questions.  The inaugural Quarter Century Club Reception & Dinner will take place on Sunday, January 20th, invitations have been sent to all Members who have been at JL for 25 years or more.  We are excited to launch this new tradition at the Club celebrating our long tenured Members.  We have a great staff in place to serve you in the coming year and we look forward to making JL the very best we can be in 2019.

2018!  Wow!  What a year it was.  The successful renovation of the Fazio Course and the Old Trail Clubhouse were the centerpiece of a fantastic year.  These two projects were truly a team effort between the Board, project committees, JL staff, the architects and designers and the contractors.  A huge thank you goes out to all involved; we have a lot to be proud of and will enjoy the fruit of our efforts for years to come.  As I compile year-end reports for the Board it is wonderful to see the objective data that shows how very happy and satisfied the Membership is.  The ClubIQ survey that has appeared in your email inbox the past year shows the Club performing above the 75th percentile of all clubs participating across all of our departments.  Now that we have a good base-line of data, I have reduced the frequency of the survey to one time per year.  Thank you for taking the time to take the survey; it is very helpful identifying areas where we are excelling, as well as areas that our management needs to pay extra attention to.  Comment card results from Food and Beverage show very high levels of satisfaction as well.  We had a successful month in August keeping the dining room open for our year-round Members.  TASTE by joseph was launched in November and promises to be a wonderful new dining venue option. We have done a lot of listening to those who have dined with us and have made some adjustments in the menu offerings and pricing to make sure TASTE is what you want it to be.

Membership recruitment in 2018 exceeded our budgets and expectations, thank you to all our Members who helped recruit and sponsor new Members last year.  Welcome to all the new Members in the class of 2018, we are thrilled to have you part of the JL Family.  Please keep in mind, we need approximately 50 new Members per year to replace normal and expected turnover.  All Members need to be part of the recruitment process identifying and sponsoring friends, family, neighbors and fellow members at your northern clubs for Membership here at JL.  On average, one out of every 20 Members needs to sponsor a new Member each year; BE THE ONE in 2019!
